“Which channel should I choose” comes up in almost every first consultation. There’s no single right answer; it all depends on the niche, the audience, and the goals. But there are patterns worth knowing.
Type of demand
Google Ads works well with already-formed demand: a person is searching for a solution and lands on your site at the moment of interest. Meta Ads and TikTok Ads are better suited to shaping demand: you show the product to people who haven’t thought about it yet but match your target audience profile.
Cost per lead
Competition, and with it the cost per click or lead, varies by niche with no single rule; in one vertical, Google Ads is cheaper, in another it’s Meta Ads or TikTok Ads. Only a test launch on real data gives you a precise answer.
Analytics specifics
Google Ads is deeply integrated with GA4 and offers more flexibility in attribution. Meta Ads requires careful work with the Conversions API due to iOS tracking restrictions. TikTok Ads is currently the least transparent of the three when it comes to attribution.
What to do in practice
For most projects, the optimal approach is to test two or three channels in parallel on a limited budget for 3-4 weeks, then reallocate budget toward whichever channel delivers the better CPA and lead quality.
Don’t try to compare channels by CTR or cost per click; compare them by cost per target action and overall return on investment.
